Correspondents include Thomas H. Dozier, James Howard Dozier, W.B. Dozier, and Olin A. Dozier. Of particular interest is correspondence relating to the hiring of balloon ascensionists as a publicity gimmick.

This collection includes original data accumulated by weather bureau offices in both Atlanta's city (1878-1954) and airport (1931-1970) offices, Augusta (1870-1936), and Columbus (1946-1995). Included are handwritten hourly, daily, and monthly meteorological and climatological data sheets, reports, and observations. The Columbus records also include station log books (1942-1995) regarding equipment and expenses and several photographs of the office (1946, 1948). The general series has two volumes that relate to weather across the state, "Damaging weather in Georgia" and "Temperature average data sheets."

The J.B. Fuqua Public Service Papers detail the political career of self-made businessman and philanthropist, J.B. Fuqua. Fuqua was born and raised in Prince Edward County, Virginia before settling in Augusta, Georgia with his family. His primary business was ownership of WJBF television and radio stations. Fuqua became involved with politics in 1957 when he was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives for Richmond County where he served four terms. During his tenure as a politician, Fuqua was responsible for helping Carl Sanders become elected as governor in 1962 and also served as a member of the Democratic National Convention Committee in 1964. The collection includes papers detailing Fuqua's involvement with the Georgia Democratic Party, photographs, campaign memorabilia, and audiovisual materials.

Correspondents include Sarah Ann Neal Burge, David Henry Ansley, Sarah Graves Ansley, James Gardner Paine, Sr., F.A. Rutherford, and James Gardner Paine, Jr.. Included are correspondence from F.A. Rutherford of the 23rd Alabama Infantry Regiment during the Atlanta Campaign, from James G. Paine, Jr. while serving in World War II and relating to his interest in breeding hounds for hunting, from Anne Platt Reeves Paine to her mother-in-law while living in the Philippines, and a typescript of the history of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church (Newton County, Ga.).

Includes correspondence; account books, financial records, and receipts relating to Jones' cotton gin business (1833-1857); freedmen contracts; and legal papers relating to Jones' duties as executor of Marshall Keith's estate and guardian of the Keith children. The correspondence, mainly to William Jones, pertains to business matters, his guardianship of the Keith children, and family matters. Correspondents include Sarah Jane Jones Griffin, Arthur W. Jones, William H. Jones, and Sophie Jones. The early materials (1813-1863) pertain to the Isham Keith family and contain correspondence between Isham, Marshall, and Peter Keith.
